Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a lot in this world. Then sometimes I realize there are many, many, many less fortunate.Yesterday I was in Whole Foods, doing my grocery shopping. There was a man in there with a backpack. He hadn’t shaved in what must be months. He was dirty and he stank profusely. He wore gloves without fingers. His clothes were brown and looked like they were made of hemp or burlap. Thing is, he was clearly intelligent. He was partaking in the wine tasting and commenting about the quality of the wine. My heart just sank. I got that sick to my stomach feeling when I realized the only difference between this man and me was luck. The homeless population in North–wait…wait. I was in Whole Foods. He was dirty and smelled funny. The man was just a hippie.Oh, well, uh, never mind.
