I’ve not watched the Simpsons for the last two or three seasons…

The Simpsons was my all-time favorite television show. I wasn’t AlexJ33106 obsessive, I didn’t have every episode memorized by episode code–but I was working on it. I loved the Simpsons and like a loved one, I hated to see it suffer. The show got so bad and so incoherent that it was nearly impossible to watch. I wasn’t in the position to pull the plug so I just stopped watching. I had heard that Al Jean was producing the show and I caught a couple of the early episodes and they were noticeably better but still not up to what the show was in its day. I downloaded a couple of newer season sixteen episodes off usenet last night and, darn, they had *coherent plots* and they were *funny*.I don’t know if anyone else has forsaken the Simpsons but it’s worth watching again. It’s not brilliant humor but it’s not painful, either.
