I usually have my comics hand delivered but since changing jobs, it’s become difficult. I had three months of things delivered to me last week, so I had three months of Wizard to read through. Let me note that I only buy two comics a month. Spider-Girl and JSA. I used to buy fifty books or more a month but quit once I changed priorities in life.I have to say, reading about all the crap that goes on in comics makes me want to hate them. Everything has to be huge–it has to have a big hook and easy to understand and imminently digestable by the general comic reading populace. I miss comics being fun. I miss the days when a big draw to the book was having a team-up between the titular character and Wolverine.I’m thinking about dropping everything. Spider-Girl, JSA, everything–just because. I think I hate comic books.I can get my comic book fix every Summer when a new Batman or Spider-Man movie comes out. Sure, Spider-Man 3 wasn’t very good but at least it felt like a comic book. I look at Marvel Comics and it just doesn’t feel like comic books anymore. Feels like a waste of money and time, when it boils down to it. 🙁
